EPISD Needs Assessment

The needs assessment at Eagle Pass ISD identified several key challenges, including inequitable access to devices and internet among students, a lack of comprehensive professional development on advanced technology tools, and insufficient resources for assistive technology to support neurodiverse students, particularly those with Dyslexia and ADHD. Teachers expressed a desire for clearer guidance on embedding technology within the TEKS-aligned curriculum and cited infrastructure issues, such as unreliable connectivity and limited device availability, as obstacles. These findings point to a need for targeted improvements in teacher training, equitable technology access, and infrastructure support to enable consistent and effective technology integration across the district.
